  • Just good

    By JaimeA.Ortiz
It is a good dictionary, but nothing more than that. I’m still believing that this app does not justifies its cost, but as I’m an English learner, I need it. Otherwise, you can still look up the words in google and save your money. Additionally, IOS added this same dictionary in its code, so if you select a word in any app and press “look up”, you have your definition ready to go. So please don’t spend your money in this dictionary unless you really need it.
  • Stop the NAG screen

    By Lars007
This is a paid product - I do not want to see a nag screen to give a 5 star review every day that I use it!
  • Nags about rating it, has tons of useless fluff

    By I544k
I do not want or like my dictionaries to constantly pester me about rating them. This one has obviously done so to the limits of my tolerance. I paid for this app. It is a reference app. I want to use it as a dictionary. Because it is a dictionary. Anything beyond being a container for the Oxford American corpus is not going to fit me well. Nor do I like dictionaries introducing other fluff and clutter like “Invite your friends - everyone needs a dictionary,” advertisements for other vaguely related apps by the same brand, and random words of the day which are useless to me.
  • Love it!

    By dippelfont
I use this about every single day!
  • Good but could improve

    By New@apps
This dictionary is a good quick reference, but lacks a key component: synonyms and antonyms.
  • App should have Dark/Night Mode Feature

    By Carlos Steven Carty
I think the New Oxford American Dictionary mobile app should have a dark mode feature so that readers and English learners can read definitions in dark settings or at night. A feature like this would waste less battery, cause less eye strain, and reduce the amount of blue light generated by the screen.
  • Good

  • A pretty good dictionary

    By RickRickI
Very full-featured, etymology is usually good. But I wish it were “slicker” to use, considering that it costs money. Like all of these dictionary apps, each time you look up a new word you have to go to search, delete your previous search term, then type in a new one.
  • Great dictionary
